Original photograph has several small stains. Photograph caption dated April 12, 1957 reads "Firemen stringing hose to fight paint store fire in downtown North Hollywood temporarily closed off Lankershim boulevard, sending heavy trucks and motorists detouring to find other routes to Hollywood Freeway. Picture was taken before second story of this building was almost completely gutted. Fire officials say damage to contents and store will run 'into thousands.'"
