Photograph of Galaxy of Andromeda which has resemblances to our own. "As outer space may see us" -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated, "July 2, 1961". "Viewed form outer space our own galaxy probably resembles the great galaxy in Andromeda two millions light years away. Out of the 100,000,000,000 stars in our own galaxy there may be possibly 100,000 with planets on which life has developed. But the Earth is the only place in the universe where we KNOW that life exists" -- typed note attached to verso. Verso dated, "Sunday, July 2, 1961".
