Photograph caption dated December 13, 1938 reads, "Boris Karloff, the 'Frankenstein' of the screen, is shown when his 3-week-old daughter, Sara Jane Karloff, was brought home to his Coldwater Canyon house by nurse Elanor Taubert. Karloff was at home, because of a film schedule that requires him to work only every other day, due to the rigors of his 'Frankenstein' role."
