Displayed here is the tooth of a saber toothed tiger, recovered from the La Brea Tar Pits. The "saber" is 10" long from root to tip in a straight line; 12 1/4" on an outside curve. It is 1 11/16" wide, 13/16" thick and 4 1/8" in circumference at the center.
