Photograph caption dated April 1, 1964 reads, "Board members of the new Surety National Bank were on hand to help break ground for their temporary quarters at Yarmouth Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Encino. Participating are Donald D. Lorenzen, Dr. Eugene Gettleman, George G. Brudney, Irving Schwartz and Councilman James B. Potter Jr., youngest member of the Los Angeles City Council. On the bulldozer is Oscar L. Grossman, chairman of the board. Expected opening is May 15."
