Description
Image of two panels of rural outdoor scenes of country life, with kids playing "Ring around the Rosie" with a young dancing man, presumably American actor Robert E. Graham, in the center and a stone well and a thatched-roof cottage in the background in the left panel; a milkmaid, presumably American actor Minnie Palmer, pulls up her striped stockings, with a pail on the ground, in the right panel; the poster advertises the musical comedy "My Sweetheart" written by William Gill.
Probable date based on general show history; Graham performed with the play in 1881 and 1882. "H.A. Thomas, Lith. Studio, 112 Fourth Ave. N.Y."--text, bottom margin to the left of both images. "Ford's one week, Oct. 24th Matinees Wednesday / & Saturday"--text, top margin. "'Ring Around Der Roses Bush'"--text, left image caption. "Wait for me!"--text, right image caption.
