Photograph of a view of airplanes lined up at the Los Angeles Airport, ca.1948. Ten Douglass DC-6 airliners can be seen scattered around on a large paved area. The aircraft are being serviced and several carts and mechanics can be seen near the landing gear of the planes. A smaller DC-3 can be seen taxiing at left. At right, several airport buildings and a fenced-in yard can be seen. In the background, the land is flat and open except for a small number of buildings and a low ridge in the distance.
