A crowd of people look on the road (presumably Wilshire Boulevard, then named Nevada Avenue) from wooden benches in the left foreground. Two automobiles with two drivers each speed down the road from the left to the right foreground. Both automobiles are printed with numbers and both secrete clouds of fumes from their exhaust pipes. Palm trees shade the sidewalk behind them.
