Description
This circa 1947 postcard shows Mission Style homes in the Land Park neighborhood of Sacramento. Between 1924 and 1931, nearly 1,000 homes were built in Land Park, valued at a combined 5,000,000 dollars. Prior to development, the land that would become Land Park -- south of Y Street, which would become Broadway, and west of Freeport -- was used primarily for grazing and other agricultural purposes.
