Description
Photograph caption reads, “Sunkist trademarking machine installed by the packing associations of the California fruit growers exchange showing oranges coming thru machine from grading belts and passing on at left to sizers and packing bins. This equipment will palce [sic] the Sunkist trademark on two billion oranges annually. Oranges are seen leaving the machine with the trademark Sunkist indelibly marked upon each fruit. The marking is done by Electricity heated dies carrying a harmless vegetable ink.” Photograph dated January 4, 1927.
