Description: Photograph of local artist, writer, and Buddhist, Matthew Davis, taken to accompany his oral history. He is a founding member of the long-standing local tradition of "circumambulation" of Mount Tamalpais, a meditative, often spiritual, day-long journey around the mountain. He is the author of "Opening the Mountain: Circumambulating Mount Tamalpais: A ritual walk."
