Description
The John L. Stephens was launched on 21 September 1852; she cleared New York for San Francisco on 17 December 1852, and arrived on 3 April 1853 with passengers from Panama; was in service, 1853-1860, San Francisco to Panama; sold, 1878, to Sisson, Wallace & Co., sent to Alaska as a cannery; broken up 1879.
