Text: Kiri-Vehera Slab Inscription: Medieval Sinhala. "The inscription records the victories of King Nissankamalla and General Lak Vijayagu Senevi in the wars with the countries such as Pandya, Cola, Kalinga and Cambodia. As a memento of these victories the Hindu temple Nishshankeshvara was built in Rameshvaram. On his return after the victories a pavilion with this inscription was built for worshipping Lord Buddha’s relics." It is located to the southeast of the stupa.
