Photograph article dated December 21, 1960 partially reads, 'The little girl was crying. A dark-haired young man had just finished his fast tap-dance act for the youngster, a cute curly-haired blonde whose tiny legs were encased in hard steel braces. She tried to smile and said, 'Someday, I'm gonna get rid of this old polio so I can dance like that.' Then she sniffed and her smile got bigger as she added, 'Gee, I'm glad you came to see us today. It gets awful lonely in this old hospital.' It was Christmas, 1958. 'Bo' Wagner, the Burbank boy whose dancing is a highlight of the Lawrence Welk TV show, was helping other Welk performers entertain the patients at a children's hospital."
