The "Castle," a large Queen Anne revival style residence, was built around 1882, and once owned by Daniel Donegan. The home was moved to the Heritage Square Museum in March 1969 to be restored. Approximately seven months after the building was relocated, it was completely destroyed by a fire, believed to have been set by arsonists.
Looking across the street towards two structures on S. Bunker Hill Avenue; from left to right, the residence once belonging to the Thorpe family at 333 and "The Castle" at 325. Dated January 8, 1966.
