Description
Photograph of a flood on the Los Angeles River, looking west from Cerritos HIll across the area south of Dominguez Water Company, 1914. A swath of furrowed soil is pictured to the left at the top of the hill, while down to the right, a dark patch seems to indicate either a tree line or a dam of some sort. The flooding water can be seen in the distance over the top, rising up to meet a bridge that crosses the river. Photoprint reads: "Harry Merrick Photography. 1901 W. Anaheim -- Long Beach, Calif. Phone Hemlock 6-3291".
