Description
Photograph of an interior view of the lobby of the Los Angeles City Hall from the second story, ca.1928. The Byzantine-style lobby is two stories high and has stone walls. Archways supported by marble columns can be seen at left and at right, while a small wooden podium can be seen between them at center. The floor is decorated with a circular mosaic, and a large chandelier hangs from the ceiling at center. A balcony overlooks the first floor at left. Tile mosaics can be seen near the top of the building as well.
