Description
Shown in 1943 is McClellan Field, first officially known as the Sacramento Air Depot after the land was dedicated in September 1936. Construction began on the main building pictured here in 1937 and the area eventually contained the headquarters building as well as a hospital, officers’ quarters and some barracks for enlisted men.
