Judith Viorist discusses her poetry book, “Suddenly Sixty.” She begins by talking about what happens to your mind and spirit when you start to feel older. Martinson asks Viorist to read several poems from her book about grandchildren, relationships, and trophy wives. She recommends that people try new things once they turn 60 and she describes how she recently took a hip-hop dance class. Viorist describes her educational background and how she has the equivalent of a PhD in psychology. She discusses losing several of her friends to illnesses. She ends the interview by reading a poem about a husband who leaves his wife for a younger woman.
