View of a large crowd gathered in front of the Star of the Sea Church at 8th Ave. and Geary Street for the funeral of Father O'Ryan.
Monsignor Philip O'Ryan was born in County Tipperary, Ireland in 1859 (?), came to United States in 1893 and to San Francisco in 1895. Appointed pastor of Star of the Sea Church in 1908.
