Description
Photograph of a painting entitled "Jesus Taken Captive" by Heinrich Hofmann, [s.d.]. Jesus is seen at the center of the painting, complete with a halo around his bearded face. His hands are bound, and he is being led by a man with a stange skull cap who is carrying a lantern. Guarding Jesus are many Roman soldiers, armed with spears, shields, and war hammers. Behind the soldiers is a worried woman who is gazing at Jesus, while in the foreground, there is a sad looking man leaning on a fence for support as the procession passes by.
