Scripps student J. Honour McCreery jumps her horse. Typed on reverse: Miss J. Honour McCreery, one of the Scripps College students who rode in the recent Rodeo Horse Show given in the Rose Bowl for the benefit of the Hot Lunch and Milk fund fro [sic] needy children was awarded the cup for being the best rider in the show. To compete in this class she was obliged to have won a first, second or third in some other class. Miss McCreery had already won the following: First in walk-trot with "Noble's Grace" belonging to W. Smith of Pomona. Second in five-gaited class on Redlights Chief; Fourth in pairs on "Noble's Grace," riding with Miss Maragaret Williams. In the annual Spring Horse Show given at Claremont, California Miss McCreery won first for horsemanship, second for jumping, rhird [sic] in five-gaited pairs class, third in five-gaited saddle class, second in three gaited pairs, third in road hacks class, fourth in five gaited saddle class. Handwritten on reverse: This is not a good picture of Miss McCreery who is such a splendid horse-woman- A jumper should not be way up out of her seat going over a fence.
