Photograph caption dated December 28, 1957 reads, "Compton College's Dave Hubbard plays 'keep away' with two Pierce Junior College Brahmas, Roger Nix, No. 4, and Tom Iverson, No. 24, during second half of Sam Berry tournament game last night. The Compton Tartars dealt Pierce an 86-52 loss to eliminate the San Fernando Valley cagers from the event. Valley Junior College also was eliminated last night by Bakersfield 75-65." Pierce Junior College is located in Woodland Hills, CA.; Compton Community College is located in Compton, CA.
