Michael Tolkin discusses his novel, “The Return of the Player.” He begins by detailing the plot of his newest novel, which follows the character Griffin Mill, who was introduced in one of his earlier novels, “The Player.” The plot of Tolkin’s book takes place fifteen years after the close of the last book. He goes on to discuss the current state of the film industry and explains how it differs from the film industry of the past. He then shares his thoughts on where he gets his inspiration for his various characters. Also in this interview he reads aloud from his book and he discusses his work writing for film.
