Description
Sky blue satin Empire waist afternoon dress with black organza overdress embroidered with gold color metal thread in an abstract leaf and vine design in a V-shape from each shoulder to waist and then from waist to hem in front and back, edged with black glass beaded fringe. Sky blue silk pleated sash over the black organza, with self fabric rosette in front and hooks and eyes at the back. 3/4 length sleeves that are layered: Kimono style in the blue silk and black organza overlay to the elbow, with a band of the blue silk at the end, then lace to the hem, with another band of the blue. Ecru thread lace guimpe to the bottom of the neck, edged in tiny pink and green bead flowers, and lower sleeves edged in the blue satin. Lined with nude silk, fastens at center back with metal hooks and eyes on both the lining and the blue silk. Lining boned with metal stays, stays covered with tape.
