Photograph caption dated August 22, 1963 reads, "Cherie Matisse, Tarzana artist, poses her sister, Michelle, 13, for finishing touches on a portrait. Michelle, one of Cherie's biggest fans, believes her sister's figures are much 'nicer' than great-granduncle Henri's.
