Moe Howard was born Moses Harry Horwitz on June 19, 1897. He was an American actor and comedian best known as the leader of the Three Stooges, the slapstick comedy team who starred in motion pictures and television for four decades. He died on May 4, 1975. Photograph caption dated May 31, 1956 reads "New officers and directors of Kiwanis Club of Toluca Lake gather for institution meeting and first picture at Sorrentino's Restaurant.
