Field of blue gums 1 and 2 years old on Brintnall Ranch, San Luis Obispo County, California. Many of these were planted in December, 1914, and fortune favored in that there were no frosts severe enough to kill the trees. Lower portion has been cut back and sprouted from an earlier planting. May, 1916
