In 1961 Mount Sinai Hospital and Cedars of Lebanon Hospital merged to form Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Photograph caption dated September 15, 1962 reads "Eleven members of the Mt. Sinai AZA spent a day this week painting the Valley office of the American Cancer Society. Steve Shorr, AZA community service chairman; Ray Applebaum, president, and Ken Krich, vice president, demonstrate how it's fun to work. Others who helped were Steve Weisberg, Art Newman, Fred Prager, Steve Gooze, Gary Bernard, Hal Segal, Gary Etting, Ken Wiener, all of mid-Valley."
