Richard H. Marriott, Mayor of Sacramento, 1968-1975. City Councilman, 1959-1968, Deputy Secretary of Health and Welfare under Jerry Brown, 1979. Known for his work supporting organized labor. Editor, Sacramento Labor Bulletin. Here, Mayor Marriott welcoming and exhanging gifts with a delegation from Ichinomiya, Japan at a ceremony at City Hall. He received a decorative plate and a Samurai helmet and gave the group a key to the city.
