Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Mission San Juan Capistrano taken by photographer Edward Vischer, showing the south front arches and the end of the presidio, before 1875. The portico of the mission is pictured prominently at center in front of which several posts have been driven into the ground and through which several adobe walls can be seen. It's terracotta-tiled roof has collapsed in a section to the left, like the roof of the adobe structure that obscures it in the left foreground. Scrub vegetation grows along the dusty court in front.
