Photograph caption dated March 6, 1964 reads, "Future airplane - Lockheed scientists showed their design of the supersonic transport for first time publicly Wednesday. The delta-wing design may some day in the early 1970s whisk passengers at 2,000 m.p.h. to London from Los Angeles in several hours.
