Over 125,000 books and 100,000 pictures, magazines and documents were packed by library staff in cardboard boxes, lifted through a second-story window and moved down a conveyor belt borrowed from a roofing company. One hundred palettes and two hand-operated fork lift trucks were borrowed from the Navy and the boxes were then trucked to Balboa Park's Food and Beverage Building. Title supplied by cataloger.
