Photograph of the exterior view of the Belmont Hotel and its yard, Belmont Avenue & 2nd Street, Los Angeles, ca.1885. The three-story hotel features shingled walls, triangular shaped dormer windows, triangular gables, inclined roof, a balcony, and a square tower. The front yard is well maintained and decorated. It features curvy paths that lead from one garden to the next. A set of stairs leads from the corner of the yard to the sidewalk (or streets?). Site was later occupied by the Belmont Heights high school.
