Description
Photograph of an entrance to the American Expeditionary Force camp in World War I, ca.1915. A smooth dirt road cuts into the camp in the foreground and winds its way through several buildings. The four buildings that are visible are all large, simple structures resembling barns. There are three on the left side of the road and one on the right. There is an empty field in the foreground at left, and there are tire tracks headed into it. A small group of women is visible near one of the barns at center, and there is a pile of lumber at right.
