Photograph of pilots Engle and William Hoff at the Dominguez Hills Air Meet, 1912. The two pilots are leaning against the side of a wooden airplane at center. The man at left is wearing a leather cap, dark sweater, and an arm band that reads "Avia". The other man is at right and is also wearing a sweater and an "Avia" armband, but he is wearing a cap. The canvas-covered control surfaces of their biplane are visible behind them, as is the plane's engine.
