Description
Photograph of a panorama of the Los Angeles Harbor from Dead Man's Island, showing the breakwater, ca.1913. And expanse of open water and the breakwater are shown at left, the breakwater cutting down diagonally into the center foreground. Farther towards center, the wharf can be seen, with a warehouse building that reads "Harrison Direct Line. Kosmos Line. E.A. Co. Ltd." across its roof. Just behind it on a hill in the background, a sign can be seen that reads "Lot for Sale. G.H. Peck". Still farther over to the right, the more industrial edge of the wharf can be seen, a crane situated on a set of tracks that extends over the water, just behind a small pool created by a circumscription of pipeline that has been erected above the water.
