Description
Scene showing the Thacher School in a Santa Barbara Parade. Likely the parade celebrating "the Great White Fleet," a nickname for a fleet of U.S. Navy battleships that circumnavigated the globe. The participants from the school, center, are seen riding horses, in fours and in a line, waving to the parade watchers. A crowd of parade watchers are in the bottom foreground. Sailors are in the background, standing to the other side of the parade. [#8]
