Description
Architect Bryan J. Clinch followed Bishop Patrick Manogue’s vision for what was to become the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament at 1101 K Street. The building, under construction for three years before the opening pageant in June of 1889, was Renaissance in style, seated 1428 parishioners and soared 216 feet above the city.
