Født i Fenghuangcheng, Manchuriet/Dongbei, som søn af missionærparret Alfred og Karen Mathilde Hansen. Cand. theol.1953. Gift med Gerda Emilie Hansen 1953. Sammen med familien udsendt af DMS til Taiwan, 1957-68. Jørgen H. var præst ved en række menigheder og underviste desuden på Præsteskolen i Taichung. Han var stærkt engageret i kristent-buddhistisk dialogarbejde. Blandt flere tillidshverv var han i en periode præsident for Den Lutherske Kirke/TLC

Jørgen Reebirk Hansen (1927-2008). Born at Fenghuangcheng, Manchuria/Dongbei, as son of the Missionaries Alfred and Karen Mathilde Hansen. BD in Theology 1953. Married to Gerda Emilie Hansen, 1953. Together with family sent by DMS to Taiwan, 1957-68. Jørgen H. served as Pastor of several congregations, and was teaching at the Theological Seminary, Taichung, as well. He was strongly engaged in Christian-Buddhist dialogue. Also for a period he served as the President of TLC.
