Description
Two women pose in London fashions, one in a walking dress, the other in full dress. The woman on the left is seated and wears a white hat with pearl detailing and a gold brim. She wears teardrop pearl earrings, a double-stranded pearl necklace, and a pearl bracelet. Her white dress is full length, and the empire waist is tied with a bow. The sleeves are short and decorated with one gold button on the shoulder on either side. She wears a white glove on her right hand and holds a closed white fan in her left hand. A coral-colored shawl is draped across her lap and over her right upper arm. The ends of the shawl are black and white striped. She wears a pair of white pointed flat shoes with bows. The woman standing to her right wears a light blue hat with light pink braiding detail and a large white feather. A sheer white veil cascades down the right side of her head. A white ruffled collar shows from underneath her light blue cloak. The cloak has yellow trim on the hood and bottom edge and has a light pink lining. The bottom of her white dress shows from beneath her cloak, and three stripes encircle the hem. She wears light blue shoes with triangle detailing. The seated woman reclines in a black wooden chair with a coral blanket on the seat. The blanket has black detailing in a repeated classical wave pattern and coral tassels hanging from the netted fringe at the bottom.
