Two women in fashionable dresses for June of 1818. The woman on the left wears a white empire waist ankle length dress with a short lavender Spencer jacket on top. She wears a white ruff around her neck and shoulders. She wears a lavender bonnet with a large brim edged with white ruffles with a lavender ribbon tie and blue flowers. She wears a pink headband around her forehead and yellow gloves and black boots. The skirt is decorated with flower and ruffle borders. She holds an open parasol. The woman on the right wears a long-sleeved, white, empire waist dress with a high, ruffed collar. The skirt, bodice, and cuffs are adorned with decorative ribbon and lace and the cuffs are edged with pointed edge eyelet. The bodice and skirt are decorated with eyelet as well. She wears a fillet on her head made of pink ribbons tied into bows near her bun. She wears white shoes and yellow gloves. Her left elbow rests on the table next to her and she gazes up at the woman on the left. She sits on a blue stool with a wooden base.
