"Dunked. After being put through multiple chores yesterday as part of initiation into Trojan Knights at the University of Southern California, the organization's pledges took matters into their own hands and began pitching their "masters" into a fountain in front of Doheny Library. This picture was made at the height of the "swimming bee." The Knights, a service organization was founded at the university in 1921. Students cheered the dunkings" -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated, "May 21, 1949". Verso dated, "May 21, 1949".
