Description
This brochure, provided by the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce circa 1950’s, describes in tantalizing detail a road trip through the Greater Sacramento Area and into the Sierra Nevada foothills. “From the Golden Gate, across the San Francisco Bay, along the winding Sacramento River – through the picaresque land of the ‘49ers and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains to sky blue Lake Tahoe – going by one route, returning by another, in all America there is no other short trip with such a wealth of scenic and historic interest!” It provides an interesting glimpse into early California history as well as of the birth of early California car culture.
