This premiere was a charity event to benefit the Southern California Olympic Fund.
Photograph caption dated March 29, 1956 reads, "Frederic [sic] March, star of 'Alexander the Great,' appears to be in deep thought as he arrives at the premiere with his wife, Florence Eldridge (left) and Olympic diving champ, Paula Jean Myers." The premiere is taking place at the Fox Wilshire Theatre.
