Photograph of an engraving of a portrait of Don Antonio Coronel, [s.d.]. He can be seen from the chest up with his head turned to the left. He has a full beard and moustache and a receding hairline. He is visible wearing a three-piece suit and bow tie. The vest is unbuttoned. Image can be seen in an blurred oval cutout. He was mayor of Los Angeles (1853-1854), city councilman (1854-1866) and State Treasurer (1866-1870). He was also a well-known authority on early Californio life in Southern California, and also a former inspector of missions for the Mexican government.
