This pigment print and artist proof was made in 2011. It is one of three prints, aside from a projected numbered edition of twenty-five prints. It is signed, titled, and dated in pencil by the artist on verso; artist's wet stamp also on verso. Hollywood Cemetery (5970-6000 W. Santa Monica Boulevard) was founded in 1899. In 1998, the cemetery changed hands and the name was changed to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.; The extensive portfolio of photographic artist Carol Westwood (1942-2011), a native New Yorker who lived in Los Angeles for many years, includes a diverse array of subjects: animals, nudes, American and European cities, and portraits. Additionally, she worked on special and still photography for numerous motion picture and television productions in Hollywood; the archive of her entertainment and celebrity images was distributed internationally by Gamma, Liaison International, Stone Images, and Getty images from 1988-2003. A memorial cenotaph, or empty grave, in honor of Jayne Mansfield at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Mansfield is actually interred in Fairview Cemetery, just southeast of Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania.
