Half-timbers decorate the facades of the large, three-story, First Brethren Church at Fifth Street and Cherry Avenue in Long Beach. Palm trees partially shade the side of the church. At the entrance on the corner, steps lead to a portico covered by a sloping, shingle roof. Decorative corbels support the roof.
