The church tower being built. The church has a straw roof. Fridtjov Soeiland Birkeli was the founder of this church. He was a missionary in Madagascar from 1933-1945. He was born in Tulear, Madagascar on April 23, 1906. He is the son of Pastor Emil Birkeli. He married Borghild Sofie Sandbaek in Tananarive, Madagascar on April 16, 1942. She died in 1985.
