Description
Scenic view of the Biltmore Hotel as seen from Pershing Square. Beginning July 11, the Biltmore Hotel will serve as the headquarters for the Democratic National Convention. The West's largest hotel will house major press facilities in two ballrooms. More than 100,000 square feet of public space has been set aside for press and candidates' headquarters. Built in 1923, the Biltmore has 1,500 rooms and is 14 stories high. Architects: Schultze & Weaver. Photograph dated: August 16, 1960.
